From our location in the centre of ancient Churchstow village, we are just a short drive to popular Bantham Beach and there are numerous other wonderful locations and activities close to hand.
The very popular village of Thurlestone is nearby with its golf course and wonderful sandy beaches and coastal path. Ideal for year round holiday breaks. Bigbury and Dartmouth golf courses are also within easy reach as is our lovely National Dartmoor Park with its wonderful scenery. Dartmouth with its Britannia Royal Naval College is well worth a visit, as is near by Salcombe.
Planning things to do whilst staying at Westgate B&B…
In addition to the 13th Century, Church House Inn, just a few yards from Westgate B&B, there are many great places to eat and drink nearby. We’ll will be happy to advise.
There are numerous beaches within a short drive, the nearest being Bantham, with its wide expanse of golden sand gently shelving to the sea.
There are many more lovely beaches including Bigbury, Thurlestone, South Milton and a number that are easily accessibly by ferry in Salcombe.
There is a wealth of watersports available and we can advise where you can hire boats and equipment.
Walking the South West Coast Path is a must if you like a ramble. It’s regarded as being one of the best walks in the world!
